Chulucanas ceramic statuettes, 'Starlight Doves (pair)

Doves gaze at the night sky as stars are reflected on their soft black feathers. Christian uses the ancient ceramic technique of Chulucanas for these figurines, polishing them with a river stone. They receive their dark coloration from the smoke of mango leaves. Ceramics such as these are entirely unique � not even the artisan can recreate one. Thus slight variations of color or brushstrokes confirm their originality and authenticity.
